Integrate podcasts into your feature writing or other journalism class. Podcasts are easy to write and free to upload and maintain on a campus newspaper’s Web site.
Some ideas for content:
1.) An interview series: All readers love a well-crafted Q&A, and now they can listen to the exchange. This doesn’t have to be extra work; a source interview can simply be recorded and editing into the podcast format.
2.) A music review series: Now you can review an album or band and your audience can listen to clips that you refer to in the review. Most Macs come with the podcast editing program GarageBand and the MP3 files can easily be uploaded online and downloaded for free.
