Coaches work with the reporter and see continued improvement. Editors "fix" the story - and need to fix the same mistakes over and over again. And although city desks do the initial edit on stories, copy editors can become coaches when they work with reporters. In a workshop with Ohio news editors, Fry explains the process and demonstrates a coaching session with a local reporter.
